The Tamron 18-400 mm F / 3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD (Model B028), the world’s first ultra-telephoto all-in-one zoom for APS-C DSLR cameras. This dramatically large zoom range has been achieved by combining a high-quality optical design and other groundbreaking technologies, including a completely new three-step zoom construction. Since the introduction of the Tamron AF 28-200 mm F / 3.8-5.6 Aspherical (Model 71D) in 1992, Tamron has dominated the “all-in-one zoom” category and Tamron has developed numerous lenses with a zoom range from wide-angle to telephoto.
Tamron has now designed a special ultra-telephoto all-in-one zoom lens with a focal length of up to 400mm (620mm with crop factor) and a 22.2x zoom range. Packed in a light compact body, it is once again a perfect example of Tamron’s accumulated knowledge and experience in all-in-one zoom lenses, including the most advanced optical and mechanical designs, an HLD (High / Low torque-modulated Drive) ) for the AF system and the image stabilization system. Photographers can now enjoy both wide-angle and ultra-telephoto photography with one lens. This is ideal for vacations, photo trips, etc. because it eliminates the need to bring extra lenses. The Tamron 18-400 mm enables a wide range of ultra-telephoto shots, including everyday snapshots.
