Full Frame / Large Format CMOS Sensor
The Mavo LF uses a completely new 6K CMOS imaging sensor with over 14 stops of latitude. 6K acquisition allows you the creative control to crop and manipulate your image when delivering in 4K, or to oversample to very sharp 4K images with a very low noise floor.The large format 36mm x 24mm sensor gives superb low light capabilities with a very clean image at 5120 iso.
Description
The MAVO cinema cameras are the flagship camera line from KINEFINITY.
MAVO S35 and MAVO LF are based on the same image processing platform, using advanced color processing architecture and a whole new CMOS image sensors to achieve super low-noise, high dynamic range. Whether it is the S35 format version of MAVO or the large-format version of MAVO LF, the 6K cameras can bring stunning details and organic images. MAVO LF with his large-format sensor provides cleaner images, wider viewing angles, shallower depth of field, and more immersive presence for cinematographers.
The MAVO LF features a full-frame CMOS image sensor, with a physical  size of 36x24mm, resolution is over 6K: 6016×4016. Compared to the S35 format sensor, the CMOS sensor is 2.25 times larger, the exposure area is bigger, the single pixel pitch is larger, the SNR is better, thus  the picture is cleaner. In addition, large format offers a wider perspective, shallower depth of field and more immersive presence. You can use cinema lenses designed for large format like MAVO Prime, CP3, Cooke S7i, Arri Signature Prime, but also a large number of existing full-frame still camera lenses.THE MAVO image sensor has an 3:2 aspect ratio. Anamorphic lenses will work perfectly together  with MAVO’s 6:5 or 4:3 modes. You can shoot 6K up to 50fps; for 6K Wide up to 66fps. In crop mode, 4K Wide is up to 100fps in 2k up to 192fps!
MAVO LF sensor readout time is stunning. At 12ms it beats most full frame cameras and has exacty the same readout speed as the ALEXA LF, the rolling shutter is almost not existent.
The MAVO s35mm has around 14+ stops of latitude, pleasing skin tones and shadow details are reserved perfectly. The OLPF is designed to retain a maximum amount of sharpness but make you get rid of any Moire or aliasing.
The Mavo camera body weighs only 920g, and its size and weight is only a fraction of the other so-called MINI cameras in the cinema market.
TheMAVO is a modular camera and can be fully rigged up as a full feature cinema camera or shrunken down for light weight gimbal work. Due to the same form factor and connections All the TERRA Accessories will work with the MAVO camera line.
MAVO consumes less than most other cinema cameras, so that it can be powered by BP-30 batteries, for 60~120 mins.
With a lemo connector the camera can handle external power supplies and can be powered from a V-Mount battery and given you much longer shooting times (4 hours with a 95 h battery)
The feature rich MAVO can be expanded by upgrading it with the universal KINEBACK-W which adapts with 4 screws to any of the Kinefinity cameras. With the Kineback-w you get 2 sdi ports, timecode port and a sync port. You get two phantom powered xlr ports for high quality audio and a v-mount plate to adapt industry standard batteries.
MAVO can be powered and controlled with theKineGRIP, with the addition of the 5inch Kinemon you  get a very small run and gun form factor.
The MAVO records in all sorts of ProRes flavors with the addition of two types of raw (cdng and krw) on  industry standard 2.5 inch ssd’s.
