The Laowa Nanomorph 80mm T2.4 1.5x S35 lens (Blue) (Canon RF) is a compact and lightweight anamorphic lens designed to deliver high-quality organic images with a 1.5x anamorphic squeeze on S35 sensor cameras. It boasts telephoto compression, making it ideal for close-up shots, and offers an aperture range from T2.4 to T16 for achieving deep depth of field. With 13 aperture blades, it produces soft bokeh, while its short minimum focusing distance of 70 cm enhances its versatility for various shooting scenarios.
This prime lens incorporates anamorphic features such as oval bokeh, shallower depth of field, and captivating blue lens flares, adding a unique cinematic touch to your footage. Additionally, it features focus markings in both foot and meter, 0.8 MOD cine gears on focus and aperture rings, and a 62mm front filter thread for added convenience.
The Canon RF lens mount is interchangeable, allowing compatibility with six other separately available mounts. Moreover, when paired with the separately available 1.33x adapter, this Nanomorph prime can achieve a squeeze ratio of 2x.
The squeeze ratio of 1.5x strikes a perfect balance between size and anamorphic intensity, resulting in an aspect ratio of 2.66:1 on a 16:9 sensor after de-squeezing. With coverage greater than that of the S35, these Nanomorph lenses offer minimal vignetting on certain full-frame cameras, further enhancing their versatility and appeal to filmmakers.
