8Sinn 15mm Lightweight Baseplate

The new Baseplate from 8Sinn comes in an unconventional shape in order to be a lightweight base to mount a camera on. On either side of it there are openings for 15mm rods, which are put in place with thumbscrews. The long slot in the middle provides a wide range of mounting options for additional attachments using 1/4“ or 3/8“ mounting screws which are supplied. On the top of the baseplate, there are protective rubber pads.
As for mounting the Baseplate to another surface – this can be done thanks to the threaded openings at the bottom: 1 x 1/4“ and 2 x 3/8“. Thus, it will be compatible with any accessory equipped with such mounting points.
