Introducing the Laowa Proteus, a professional 2X anamorphic lens for Super 35 cine cameras. This lens features a patented design for modern sharpness and vintage characteristics, with a constant 2X squeeze ratio for an ultra-widescreen cinematic look and the option to crop to 2.39:1. Its T2 aperture supports low-light shooting and shallow depth of field, while the 55cm close focusing distance enables sharp close-ups.
The Proteus offers pleasant oval bokeh in amber, blue, and silver flare colors. With low focus-breathing and a user-friendly cine housing, it’s ideal for professional productions. It also supports full-frame coverage with a 1.4X extender, ensuring outstanding sharpness and image quality. The lens comes with a PL mount and a Canon EF bayonet, suitable for a variety of sensors.
