Our CINEPRO Circular GND Filter is softly graduated from dark to light.
Graduated neutral density filters are designed to even the exposure. In this case, the use is very helpful to the landscape photographer, as the sky will normally be much brighter than the landscape being recorded below it. This can be corrected with a graduated filter.
Gradient filters are also recommended for scenes without a clear, distinct horizon.
