Main Measuring Functions
Exposure and Flash
Designed for ambient and flash exposure workflows in both motion and still-image production. Useful for setting correct camera exposure, checking light ratios, and keeping setups consistent.
Color Temperature
Useful for measuring and matching light sources, balancing mixed lighting, and making white-balance decisions with more confidence.
Spectrum and Color
Useful for evaluating light quality, comparing fixtures, shaping mood and feel, and recreating looks more consistently.
Illuminance
Useful for measuring light levels in technical, production, stage, studio, and architectural workflows.
Flicker Analysis
Useful for identifying problematic light sources, analyzing flicker behavior, and reducing the risk of rolling artifacts or poor footage.
Typical Use Cases
- Controlling exposure and scene contrast
- Matching lighting between setups
- Checking light ratios without relying only on the camera
- Measuring and/or matching mixed light sources and practicals
- Balancing whites and improving color consistency
- Evaluating fixture quality and spectral behavior
- Checking for flicker issues before shooting
- Building repeatable lighting setups for film, video, stage, and photography
LIT OS and LIT App
The firmware running on LIT DUO 1 is called “LIT OS”. LIT DUO 1 supports LIT OS updates via the LIT smartphone apps or via USB-C using a computer and the dedicated firmware file. This helps keep the device current and allows the product to keep improving over time.
Currently, LIT App can upgrade and downgrade the LIT OS on LIT DUO 1 via Bluetooth.
