The Irix Filter Edge ND1000 86mm is a 10-stop solid neutral density filter with an optical density of 3.0. It reduces incoming light across the entire image area, allowing reduced shutter speeds and wider apertures.

The filter is suited to landscape and long-exposure photography, including exposure times of several minutes in bright sunlight. It features multi- and resistance-coated glass in an aluminum ring.
