5 focal lengths

The Arles set currently includes five focal lengths: 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm, all with an aperture of T1.4. This range should be sufficient for most production needs, though we are eager to see if additional focal lengths will be released in the future.

Covers Vista Vision

Like the Vespid primes, the Arles lenses are designed to cover Vista Vision sensors. In fact, according to DZO, the Arles have a slightly larger image circle. We will provide updates once we have full production samples. This means you get a lens capable of handling large-format cinematography in a relatively compact package.

Very portable

The lenses are relatively lightweight and compact. All focal lengths share the same physical dimensions, with weights ranging from 1.5 to 1.8 kg (3.3 to 3.96 lb).

Future plans

DZOFILM is planning on expanding the Arles prime set, with five more focal lengths coming soon.

In the past, the set offered wsix focal lengths (28mm, 32mm, 40mm, 55mm, 75mm, and 100mm), each lens featuring a neutral/blue coating for that desired vintage anamorphic aesthetic. These lenses are known for their “true” anamorphic imaging, boasting a 2.39:1 aspect ratio, exceptional “waterfall” bokeh, covers Super35, and elegant neutral horizontal flares.

Every lens in the set shares key features to enhance your filming experience. They offer close focusing capabilities, overcoming common anamorphic limitations, and a low-distortion design that maintains image quality without compromising the anamorphic charm. The PL mount included with each lens can be swiftly switched to an EF mount, providing versatility across camera systems. The focus marks are conveniently defined in feet.

Designed with practicality in mind, each lens boasts a compact and lightweight construction, making them ideal for use with drones, stabilizers, and in handheld setups to keep weight minimal. The set is divided into two hard cases, each holding three lenses along with their respective accessories, ensuring safe and organized transport. Anamorphic Macro

Prime C macro set with 65/135/180mm begins its journey with the 65mm macro lens, which can impressively focus close at 0.366m and with a magnification ratio of 1:2.

It will allow filmmakers to look at the subject in its tiniest detail and capture the essence of the macro world with unbeatable clarity and dramatic flair. The ability to focus from infinity to close-up work, with field view comparability to spherical lenses, really opens up and pushes the boundaries for creative options with artistic expression.

The anamorphic Prime C set macro 65/135/180mm is designed with a lot of focuses on the functionality and aesthetic beauty. In addition to the features, it has mounts PL & EF that give the potential for the lenses to be used with several types of cameras. The neutral coat effectively reduces reflections and, through it, increases light transmission, advantageous to both the 65/135mm/180mm and lenses at the T2.8 and T2.5 apertures, respectively, for good low-light performance.
