The Tilta Nucleus-M Wireless Lens Control System Partial Kit III contains the essential elements for pulling focus wirelessly while handholding. The kit includes the Nucleus-M left handgrip controller, one Nucleus-M motor, one removable lens belt, two motor power cables, and a battery charger unit (batteries not included). The handgrip controller provides wireless fingertip lens control while functioning as handgrip support for your camera rig, and the system enables pulling either focus, iris, or zoom on your lens. If you are using a lens that does not have standard cine-style gears, then use the included lens belt to add gears to your lens.

This partial kit is a single axis system, but the Nucleus-M left handgrip controller will allow you to control additional motors (not included) so you can control more than one lens ring. The included motor power cables allow you to power a motor from either a D-Tap power source or a second motor via the 7-pin to 7-pin connector. The included power cables allow you to easily add a second motor (not included) to the system. The included rosettes aid in mounting the handgrip controller to your camera or rig with ARRI-style rosettes. The system can wirelessly pull focus from up to 1000′ away, and with separately available batteries you can power the hand unit for approximately 10 hours on a single charge.

Tilta Nucleus-M Handgrip (Left)

The Tilta left-side Wireless Handgrip provides fingertip lens control while also functioning as a handgrip support for your camera rig. This component of the separately available Nucleus-M FIZ (focus/iris/zoom) system enables you to split control between the handgrip and the hand unit as you prefer.

With a wireless control range of up to 1000′, the Wireless Handgrip can be used for drone or car-mounted shots in addition to handheld configurations. Mount the handgrip using its ARRI-style rosette or use an optional adapter to mount to your gimbal. Use this grip with a separately available right-side grip for full focus, iris, and zoom control of cine-style lenses.

Handgrip features include three knob-rotation settings, optional adapters for either bar- or ring-based gimbals, LED indicators, and an LCD display. An optional thumb joystick is available separately for the left handgrip. Powered by two 18650 lithium-ion batteries (not included), the handgrips can maintain a single charge for up to two days. As part of the Nucleus-M system, the Wireless Handgrip provides a run/stop function for select cameras.

Tilta Nucleus-M FIZ Lens Control Motor

The compact Tilta Nucleus-M FIZ Lens Control Motor features an integrated motor drive, eliminating the space of a separate drive box and enabling a quicker setup. Power the motor using a separately available D-Tap cable and power source, or daisy-chain to another motor using a 7-pin cable.

The Nucleus-M wireless motor includes a cine standard 0.8 Mod drive gear and a 19mm rod adapter with a bushing for mounting onto a 15mm rod. The motor features automatic or manual calibration, a display window, and high, medium, and low torque settings.

Use this DSLR Lens Follow Focus Adapter from Tilta to tie around your DSLR lens and control focus with any of Tilta’s follow focus systems such as the Nucleus-Nano or Nucleus-M. The Tilta Nucleus-M Wireless Lens Control System Partial Kit IV contains the essential elements for pulling focus and iris wirelessly. The kit includes the Nucleus-M FIZ hand unit controller, two Nucleus-M motors, two removable lens belts (DSLR Lens Follow Focus Adapters), two motor power cables, two marking disks for the hand unit, a lanyard for the hand unit, and a battery charger unit. The system enables an AC to pull focus and iris on a prime lens. If you are using a lens that does not have standard cine-style gears, then use the included lens belts to add gears to your lens.

This partial kit is a dual-axis system, typically controlling focus and iris, but the hand unit will allow you to control an additional motor (not included) for zoom control when using a zoom lens. The system can wirelessly pull focus from up to 1000′ away, and the batteries can power the hand unit for approximately 10 hours on a single charge (batteries not included). The first motor is powered via the included D-Tap to 7-pin cable; the second motor daisy-chains to the fist via the 7-pin to 7-pin cable for power. Tilta Nucleus-M FIZ Hand Unit

The Tilta Nucleus-M FIZ Hand Unit provides three-channel wireless focus, iris, and/or zoom control as part of the Nucleus-M lens control system. The hand unit features a large wood-edged focus knob, a zoom joystick, an iris wheel, and a backlit LED display window.

Select from low, medium, and maximum transmission ranges to best suit your working distance and battery reserves. The Nucleus-M FIZ Hand Unit’s choice of 15 2.4 GHz channels minimizes the chance of interference in high-traffic areas. Set up to 10 soft stops with vibration for focus pulls, and calibrate lenses automatically or manually.

Wireless run/stop is available for select cameras using the hand unit and separately available cables. The hand unit is powered by two separately available lithium-ion batteries and can operate for up to 10 hours on a single charge.

The Nanlite Forza 300 II LED Spotlight excels at being as compact and lightweight as possible—yet capable of delivering a truly impressive amount of output (69400 Lux, 6447.4 fc at 1 meter with included reflector). This is the second-generation of this fixture, and it’s been improved in every regard. Forza 300 II was built for professional production with durable construction, control options for Bluetooth, 2.4G, and DMX/RDM, a protected glass-covered COB, and a fully redesigned yoke and Control Unit with the ability to efficiently run on AC or side-mounted V-Mount batteries (sold separately). You can have complete confidence in its performance as the 300 II has a highly accurate CRI rating of 96 and a TLCI of 97. It’s also the world’s first 300-watt 5600K spotlight with the ability to adjust the green-to-magenta shift by +/- 80, which is made possible by its W(RG) LED source.

The Control Unit is 37% smaller, fanless, can run on a single V-Mount battery, and gets 30% more battery life (batteries sold separately). The included cables are substantially longer: 19.8 feet (6 m) for the power cable, 9.8 feet (3 m) for the head cable, and considerably longer head cables are available separately. Forza 300 II is compatible with a vast number of Bowens Mount light modifiers, including Nanlite’s own offerings. A useful 55° reflector is included, and there are numerous other modifiers available, such as the FL-20G Fresnel with metal barn doors (sold separately), which increases the output to 197000 Lux, 18301.9 fc at 1 meter.

The upgraded yoke allows 360° rotation and is curved to provide a greater tilting range with large modifiers. It features a stepless, one-sided lock for easy positioning, and an umbrella mount for more light-shaping options. The fan in the head is 9 dBA quieter than the previous generation and has 4 modes: Smart, Full Speed, Low Speed, and Off for absolute silence. A redesigned padded carrying case with improved cushioning safely holds everything. A USB port allows firmware updates which will add new features in the future, and it can supply power to wireless DMX receivers (sold separately) or other devices.

Compact Powerhouse
Forza instruments provide the highest quality of light while being as compact and lightweight as possible. Every aspect of their design is intentional, like the rectangular shape of the heads and Control Units, which can be stacked when setting up, breaking down, or storing. G/M Adjustment
In shooting situations where you need to mix light from the 300 II with ambient light, it can be extremely helpful to adjust the green-to-magenta shift to match the other light sources. This feature is also useful when you’re trying to achieve a specific look and need to tweak the color to get there. It’s uncommon for a 5600K fixture to have G/M adjustment, but you get it in the Forza 300 II.

Improvements All Around
The Control Unit has easy-to-access battery plates on the sides that accommodate various sized batteries. All cables attach to the top of the Control Unit so the flat base can rest on surfaces when in use. The included quick-release clamp is durably built, easy to operate, and works with round or square stands and trusses. It has an easy-to-read OLED screen, intuitive on-board controls and a Lock button to prevent unwanted changes to settings.
