The Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K is an advanced camera equipped with a full-frame 6K sensor and an active Leica L lens mount, allowing you to enjoy vibrant colors, accurate skin tones, an impressive dynamic range of 13 stops, and a built-in OLPF (Optical Low Pass) filter specifically tuned for the generous 24 x 35mm sensor. Full-frame 6K sensor A full-frame sensor with a native resolution of 6048 x 4032 offers the ability to capture shots with shallow depth of field and use anamorphic lenses uncropped for an authentic cinematic look. With a dynamic range of 13 stops and dual native ISO values of 400 and 3200, expandable to 25600, this camera delivers stunning images with minimal noise in all lighting conditions, from bright sunlight to extreme low light.

Cinematic imagery with full-frame flexibility The full-frame sensor provides flexibility when working with various film formats and aspect ratios without sacrificing quality. Thanks to the full sensor surface, you can create a unique 3:2 image with an open aperture, allowing for reframing in post-production. The generous sensor allows for true 6:5 anamorphic shots without any cropping, capturing detailed and cinematic widescreen images in higher resolutions than previously possible. Alternatively, you can use the classic Super35 format window on the sensor for direct close-ups that seamlessly match shots with an open aperture.

Advanced Leica L mount The Leica L mount is compatible with the full-frame sensor of the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K, ensuring compatibility with both new and old lenses. With a generous diameter of 51.6 millimeters, the L mount supports the latest full-frame lenses from manufacturers like Leica, Panasonic, and Sigma. Thanks to the exceptionally short flange distance of only 20 millimeters, you can easily add Canon EF, ARRI PL, and other adapters for different lens mounts without any adverse impact on image quality. Additionally, an optional EF adapter is available, enabling lens control and data transfer for compatible lenses.

Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K

Multiple resolutions and frame rates The Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K captures all standard resolutions and frame rates, from HD to DCI 4K and 6K, with stills up to 24.6 megapixels. Video rates include 6048 x 4032 3:2 open gate at 36fps, 6048 x 2520 2.4:1 at 60fps, and 4096 x 2160 DCI 4K at 60fps. Higher frame rates are captured with a window sensor up to 2112 x 1184 Super16 at 100fps. True anamorphic 6:5 with much higher resolutions than other cameras is available with anamorphic lenses at 4838 x 4032 4.8K at 24fps.

Post-production-friendly file formats Thanks to high-resolution Blackmagic RAW recording, you have the ability to precisely control details, exposure, and colors during post-production. Furthermore, the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K can capture HD H.264 proxies in real-time, allowing media to be quickly and effortlessly shared worldwide within minutes. Blackmagic Raw is highly optimized, with support for multiple threads and the ability to work with multiple CPU cores. It utilizes GPU acceleration for seamless collaboration with Apple Metal, CUDA, and OpenCL. This means you can always rely on unmatched resolution and quality for color adjustments, keying, compositing, reframing, stabilization, and tracking, whether you’re working in HD, 4K, or 6K. 5-inch tilting touchscreen The bright 5-inch tilting touchscreen with HDR support offers various applications, including framing, focusing, and applying 3D LUTs for monitoring. The screen displays various overlays, such as status, recording parameters, histograms, peaking, frame guides, levels, and more, allowing you to access all crucial information at a glance. The tilting feature makes it easy to view and adjust settings, especially when shooting from high or low angles, making camera operation even more user-friendly.

Recording on CFexpress Type-B memory cards or external drives The Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K has the ability to record internally on a CFexpress Type-B memory card or externally through the USB-C port on an SSD or flash drive. CFexpress memory cards are both more durable and faster compared to older media formats, effortlessly capturing 12-bit Blackmagic RAW files at full resolution. A 256GB CFexpress card has enough space to record over an hour of UHD 6K footage. The impressive speed of CFexpress cards allows for direct editing with the included DaVinci Resolve software.

Professional connectivity Despite its compact size, the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K offers a range of professional interfaces. These connectivity options include a full-size HDMI video output, a USB-C expansion port, and 12VDC ports.

Built-in microphone and Pro Audio inputs Professional audio support includes two mini-XLR inputs with +48V phantom power, allowing for the capture of two separate audio tracks. Additionally, the Cinema Camera 6K features four built-in microphones with shock and wind resistance, resulting in very low background noise. The camera also offers a 3.5mm stereo input, a speaker, and a 3.5mm headphone output for extensive audio capabilities.

Stunning 8K 75P Imaging Sensor
The new 8K imaging sensor on the MAVO Edge is an amazing canvas with 45 million pixels on a 36x24mm full-frame CMOS sensor featuring 800/3200 dual native ISO, 8K Wide up to 75fps and latitude up to 14+ stops. Even at open gate 3:2 , surprisingly this beast can still deliver a gorgeous image of 45 million pixels at up to 48 frames per second.

The integrated combined battery plate can work with 14.8V broadcast V-mount batteries like KineBAT PD 75/150. When handheld or gimbal way, the camera can be powered directly by compatible BP-U30 type batteries like GripBAT 4S, so the operator could work in a cord-free and smooth way, thanks to a reduced payload and no extra power cord.
