During the design process, care was taken to leave the character of the lenses used largely unchanged and to ensure the greatest possible compatibility with as many lenses as possible. The 2x extender is compatible with a wide range of Leica M lenses.
    The optical design consisting of 7 lenses in 4 groups uses high refractive index and low dispersion glass and has been optimized for maximum contrast transmission and minimum aberrations with state-of-the-art optical design software. Tolerance and stray light analysis by special software, avoids ghosting and reflections already at the design stage and ensures maximum imaging performance.

    An integrated option to finely adjust the flange focal distance via rotary wheel (FFD Adjustment +/- 0.05mm), allows a quick fine tuning of the flange focal distance without the use of tools and shims.

    A lens checker is included in the package for you to test whether your lens can be compatible with the adapter.

    In addition the Cine Extender 2x features a support thread for 1/4″ support rods at the bottom of the Adapter. The special cutouts on the LPL and PL mounts in front of the Adapters facilitates mounting and dismounting of lenses, as they allow the air flow in and out.

    The LF Extender is optimized to give superior optical performance with our lenses even wide open, with only 1.3 stop light loss. We include a handy check gauge with each extender to help you ensure the rear element/cone of the lens will not interfere with the extender optics.

    If used with 35mm format (non FF/LF sensor), it extends your lenses by 1.6x (100 becomes 160, 80 becomes 127, etc.)

    EF 3 Mounting Adapter features:

    1. Increase traditional DSLR lens locking method: rotate the lens clockwise until stop;
    2. Keep cine camera active locking method: lock the lens clockwise until fasten firmly without mobile space;
    3. Hot-swap: change your lenses while the camera is on; offer extra electric protection;
    4. Electronic contacts: Support majority of EF lens with Iris control;
    5. Simple but reliable connection: the new mounting adapter matches KineMOUNT perfectly without any cord;

    How to Attach/detach the EF lens to the EF 3 mount?

    Steps of attaching EF lens to new EF 3 mount as following:

    1. Unlock: Rotate locking ring of EF 3 mount counter-clockwise till stop; (Take off all the caps or covers from camera and lens mount;);
    2. Install EF lens: Align red dot on lens, white line on locking ring and dot on mount. And make sure that the pin on mount matches the hole of lens; rotate EF lens clockwise till release button up;
    3. Lock: Rotate locking ring of EF 3 mount clockwise as the arrow direction until fastened firmly.

    Steps of detaching EF lens from new EF 3 mount:

    1. Unlock: Rotate locking ring of EF 3 mount counter-clockwise till stop;
    2. Detach EF lens: Fully press the release button on the right side of EF 3 mount and rotate EF lens counter-clockwise.
