Tailored for vloggers, photographers, and content creators, the Shinobi II introduces numerous upgrades from the original model, including a sleeker design, a 50% brighter 1500 cd/m² display, USB-C camera control for Canon, Panasonic, Sony, and Z CAM with status indicators, and the new AtomOS 11 interface. Additional features include USB-C PD power I/O, a locking HDMI and USB-C adapter, improved image tools, and ultra-efficient battery usage, enabling all-day operation with just one battery.
He monitor has been slimmed down to weigh only 7.4 oz, and there are added locating holes alongside the 1/4″-20 threads for anti-twist mounting. A single L-series battery plate on the back has been placed in the center to improve balancing and maneuverability.
The 5.2″ touchscreen display is 50% brighter than the Shinobi, measuring 1500 cd/m² peak brightness, making it easily readable whether you’re shooting indoors or in bright sunlight.
Using specially designed on-screen sliders you can adjust white balance, lens aperture, shutter speed/angle and ISO. A red edge display indicates when the camera is recording internally, whether triggered by the camera or from the Shinobi II.
Shinobi II will run all day on a single battery and offers a host of professional monitoring features. Set up your shots accurately using our advanced histograms, waveforms and videoscopes. A multi-tool Analysis View gives you all the essential info at a glance. There’s even a selfie Mirror Mode for vloggers. Shinobi II is the perfect accessory to improve any photo or video production.
Atomos has developed a unique and rugged locking ecosystem to maintain a secure grip on connected HDMI and USB-C cables and Shinobi II is supplied with a special bracket to facilitate this. With Atomos locking cables (purchased separately) it is the most robust capture cable system available today. Shinobi II is also fully compatible with standard, non-locking cables.

The included HDMI/USB-C locking adapter allows you to use Atomos’ new line of locking cables to prevent disconnecting or pulling.
There are multiple methods to power the Shinobi II, including an L-series/NP-F style battery, an optional battery eliminator (dummy battery) in combination with a DC barrel to D-Tap cable, or via a USB-C PD charger with 10W input. You can also charge/power your camera via USB-C PD 13W output while using Shinobi II’s camera control features.
