]]> The XL-AES is an optional add-on for the Scorpio, 888, and 833, offering 8 channels of AES3 audio through four robust TA3F input jacks. This accessory attaches directly to the top panel’s expansion port of the mixer-recorder and is encased in a durable milled aluminum housing designed for long-term reliability. It integrates seamlessly into the Channel Input Source menu alongside other input options. Users can route any of the 8 audio channels from the XL-AES to any channel on the mixer-recorder. The XL-AES is powered directly by the mixer-recorder it is attached to.

Specifications include:

  • Input type: AES3, balanced, with TA3F connectors
  • Impedance: 110 ohms
  • Sensitivity: Accepts 200 mV or higher
  • Wiring configuration: pin 1 = ground, pin 2 = positive, pin 3 = negative
