Laowa Proteus is a high-performance anamorphic lens with a patented 2X squeeze ratio, providing a 2.66:1 aspect ratio on a 4:3 sensor and 2.4:1 on a 6:5 sensor. It features a T2 aperture, excellent sharpness, and a 55cm close focus distance. The user-friendly cine housing includes 0.8 mod gear, back focus adjustment, and a 300° focus throw.
Perfect for a vintage anamorphic look, the Proteus offers oval bokeh and amber, blue, and silver flares. It has low focus breathing for stable framing during focus adjustments. The lens comes with a PL mount and Canon EF bayonet, suitable for Super 35 cine cameras, and supports full-frame coverage with a 1.4X extender. The Proteus is a versatile and affordable choice for professional anamorphic productions.
