This baseplate includes an upper ARCA Swiss standard dovetail with a center screw channel and a vertical lens support post system. It attaches to the camera bottom with one 1/4-20 screw and one 3/8-16 screw. Additionally, a vertical 1/4-20 rod post can be positioned under the lens adapter, such as the Canon RF to PL Mount Pro (RED® KOMODO™).

The lower dovetail slot adheres to ARRI standards for attachment to ARRI dovetails or the included Quick Dovetail. When used with the Quick Dovetail, the baseplate and camera combination can be paired with ARRI standard bridge plates like the Quick Release Bridgeplate (19mm) or Quick Release Bridgeplate (15mm Studio).

Complete Top Mount Kit (RED® KOMODO™)
The Complete Top Mount Kit for the RED® KOMODO™ features a Top Mount that attaches to the camera body with two captive 1/4-20 screws, providing a central ARCA Swiss dovetail clamping slot, along with multiple 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes for accessory attachment.

The included Top Handle slides into the ARCA slot, allowing easy access to the camera control screen. The top shoe mount is ideal for on-camera lights and microphones, while a side 15mm opening can hold the included monitor arm or UVF Mount V2. Several 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 ARRI accessory mounts are positioned around the handle, and a front 15mm lightweight rod bracket allows for the attachment of lens motors and other accessories.

The Monitor Hinge attaches to the ARCA slot and provides a direct 1/4-20 mount for SmallHD monitors. A rubber pad is included for third-party monitors, and a 15mm mounting spud allows the monitor arm to be quickly released and attached to the Top Handle.

The Top Plate slides into the ARCA slot, offering rows of 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 ARRI accessory mounts with standard spacing. It can be adjusted forward to allow access to the camera control screen, making it suitable for gimbal and drone systems or for use with legacy Wooden Camera products.

Battery Slide Pro V-Mount (RED® KOMODO™)
The Battery Slide Pro V-Mount attaches to the left BP-9 battery slot of the RED® KOMODO™ and powers the camera via a right-angle connector. The thumbscrew allows for easy tilt and slide adjustments.

This plate features three D-Taps that provide battery voltage for accessories, with monitored power to prevent over-current. If accessories draw more than 5.8A, a digital fuse will trip, illuminating a red LED, while the camera remains powered. Pressing the reset button will restore accessory power.

A DC Input on the right side of the camera allows for hot-swapping between a block battery and the onboard battery. Although the AC adapter supplied with the KOMODO™ can be used, it may not supply sufficient power for both the camera and accessories.

For those needing to hot-swap between a V-Mount battery and a BP-955 battery, the Battery Slide Extension for Canon BP-955 Hot Swap (RED® KOMODO™) is recommended. This extension moves the battery plate further back from the camera body for seamless transitions.

Tilta Full Camera Cage for RED KOMODO (Tactical Gray)

The Tilta Full Camera Cage for RED KOMODO, in tactical gray, features connected side panels and a bottom panel, with a top plate that secures directly to the top of the camera and provides a shoe mount and 1/4″-20 threads. The bottom panel of the cage offers multiple 1/4″-20 mounting threads for optimal balancing on gimbals, and the adapter plate also provides 1/4″-20 threads on the bottom. Attach a separately available adapter plate to the bottom panel and mount the cage to the Tilta 15mm LWS Baseplate for RED KOMODO Cage by quick release.

The cage offers 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 accessory threads all around and a total of four rosette mounts, two on the left side and two on the right. Optional Tilta accessories for this cage include a NATO-mount wooden handle, rotating top handle, 15mm LWS baseplate, tilting monitor mount, and more.

The Right-Side Wooden Handle Type I, featuring a tactical gray base, is designed to attach to the right side of the Tilta cage for the RED Komodo camera via an included NATO rail adapter. The NATO adapter allows for quick release attachment and removal of the wooden, ergonomic handgrip at the flip of a metal lever. A 1/4″-20 mounting thread is additionally provided on the top.

The Tilta Quick Release Top Handle for RED Komodo, in tactical gray, is designed to attach to the shoe mount on the optional Tilta Top Plate for the RED Komodo camera, securing tool-free via a thumbwheel. The robust all-metal top handle provides multiple 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 mounting threads and one shoe mount on the front end and one on the back. 8Sinn Top Handle Pro is an aluminum-made camera handle, so having it attached to your camera provides a safe way of grabbing your setup and, what’s more important, offers various mounting points and adjusting possibilities. The NATO rail-based quick-release system grants quick shifting and detaching the handle from the camera. The Pro handle can be mounted on every surface equipped with at least 2 x 1/4″ threaded mounting points or on a built-in Safety NATO Rail. In the case of the RED® KOMODO™, the rail can be attached directly to the top of the camera and it has to be 95mm long, due to the spacing of the top holes. The rail stays flush with the top-front edge of the RED® KOMODO™ camera.
