The Laowa Aksen 17.5mm f/1.7 5-10x Ultra Macro APO lens features a 5:1 to 10:1 magnification range for capturing highly enlarged subjects. Its fixed 0.9" working distance from the front of the lens is maintained throughout the magnification range.

The lens uses an internal parfocal zoom design, coaxial illumination and an APO optical design. Its compact, lightweight form is suitable for handheld shooting and motorized focus-stacking rigs.
