Equipped with a rotatable quick release adapter, the handle allows for seamless switching between side and top handle configurations. The adapter offers smooth, non-step rotation, securely locking into place at any angle without loosening during prolonged use. It is compatible with various SmallRig handles, including models 4402, 4403, 3838, 3894, and 2772, offering users the flexibility to easily upgrade to a rotatable grip.

Note

This product is only compatible with the SmallRig H11 quick-release ecosystem.
Based on the result from the SmallRig Laboratory’s testing, this product maintains a damping degradation of less than 10% after 5000 consecutive rotations.

SmallRig’s “Night Eagle” Cage for the Nikon Z 8 4316 is meticulously crafted to safeguard your camera while providing extensive accessory mounting options. Its design, featuring gun brown curves complemented by gold accents, perfectly accentuates the classic style of the Nikon Z 8.

Equipped with a robust three-point locking system, this cage ensures the secure attachment of your Nikon Z 8 using a bottom 1/4″-20 screw and two M2.5 screws on each side. The integrated pads effectively prevent scratches on your camera while granting unimpeded access to buttons, card slots, the flip screen, and the battery cover.

Enhancing its versatility, the cage includes various mounting interfaces such as 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threaded holes, along with ARRI 3/8″-16 locating holes. These interfaces support a wide range of accessories including side handles, top handles, monitor mounts, quick release plates, mounting clamps for power banks, and mini V-Mount battery plates.

Furthermore, the cage features a detachable Cold Shoe Mount with a positioning pin to prevent deflection, allowing for the convenient attachment of LED video lights or microphones. It also includes side 1/4″-20 locating holes for compatibility with accessories like Single Rod Clamps and Magic Arms with Dual Ball Heads, along with a NATO rail for swift connection of NATO Side Handles.

For added convenience, the cage incorporates strap holes compatible with Hand Straps, as well as a QD socket for attaching QD strap buckles. The Arca-Swiss Quick Release plate on the bottom enables seamless transition between tripod and stabilizer modes, supporting both Arca-type tripods and DJI RS series stabilizers.

Additionally, a double-ended wrench is provided for effortless disassembly and assembly, ensuring hassle-free operation in any shooting scenario.

It locks the bottom of the camera via a 1/4″-20 screw and anti-twist pin and maintains full access to the LCD flip screen and ports and features built-in pads that prevent scratches and twisting. Compatible with Arca-type / Manfrotto RC2 tripod, the mounting plate can rotate by 90 degrees by unlocking a knob to switch between horizontal and vertical shooting. It’s bottom 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threaded holes also support Handle 2093C, etc. to enhance stability in handheld mode. The baseplate can be used separately to meet your various needs, with a hinge arm at the battery door fitting the camera body perfectly for a better grip experience. It also comes with a strap slot, a 1/4″-20 threaded hole for the wrist strap, a quick release plate, etc.; and a magnetic flat-head screwdriver for easy installation and release.

Tips

Only supports lens adapter ring of less than 63mm in outer diameter. Please first remove the lens adapter ring support (if any).
