8SINN CAGE FOR ATOMOS SHINOBI

Using your Atomos Shinobi with the 8Sinn cage will help you to protect your monitor and to develop its capabilities. Frame-like cage has been carefully designed so that not to interrupt the monitor`s structure. The cage has been cut out from one piece of air aluminum, which makes it lightweight and durable at the same time. The top and bottom sides of the cage serve as built-in NATO rails – a standard solution for quick-release accessories. Every plug and socket is easily accessible. Additional 1/4″ mounting points on top and at the bottom of the cage are useful for extra accessories. Cage is attached to the monitor by two 1/4″ screws (top and bottom). The bottom of the cage includes the 1/4″-3/8″ reduction screw. Thanks to dedicated openings at the bottom, the Shinobi cage can be used with ARRI standard accessories equipped with anti-twist pins.

8SINN CAGE FOR ATOMOS SHINOBI + SUNHOOD

The monitor without a cage is quite vulnerable, so if you want to make sure it’s safe when dropped, equip it with the cage. Monitor cages are mostly about protection, however, we added a few 1/4″ mounting points and built-in NATO rails to make the cage extendable. The included sunshade is detachable and foldable, so you can have it in your camera bag at all times and use it when needed. 8Sinn sunhood is compatible with 8Sinn cages for Ninja V and Shinobi monitors only.

The SmallRig AtomX 5 inch Shinobi Cage 2305 is an accessory that offers protection to the top and bottom of the Ninja V recorder. The bottom rails let you mount the protection on supports such as the SmallRig articulating arms. The 1/4 "-20 and 3/8" -16 mounting wires and ARRI mounting holes are provided on the top and bottom.

The protection fixes the monitor with a supplied 1/4 screw. An HDMI cable terminal is included and an optional second terminal is supported. The protection has cut-outs for the neck strap and attachment points for the Atomos Ninja V hoodframe.

Atomos Shinobi 5″ 4K HDMI Monitor

The Shinobi 5″ 4K HDMI Monitor is an on-camera monitor with DCI 4K, UHD 4K, and HD video input. It features a 10-bit FRC IPS screen with a brightness of 1000 cd/m², which makes it suitable for use in both exterior and interior conditions. The AtomHDR display technology allows you to accurately monitor your log gamma footage without having to view flat, washed-out looking images or use a LUT to compress the dynamic range and color space. The monitor supports popular log formats from Sony, Canon, Panasonic, ARRI, RED, and JVC cameras.

Built to withstand the rigors of production, the Shinobi features a lightweight plastic chassis and powers from a single L-series battery. Additional features include a variety of onscreen exposure analysis, framing, and focus assist tools, as well as anamorphic de-squeeze. A 12V power supply with L-series battery eliminator is included with the unit.

AtomHDR

With AtomHDR you can monitor up to ten stops of dynamic range of your camera’s LOG image. Most conventional monitors can only display six or seven stops, which is fine for standard footage; but a Log image will look overly flat. It is also superior to monitoring with a loaded LUT, which can clip the highlights and mask shadows.

4K DCI/UHD and HD Capabilities

5″ Daylight Viewable Screen

The Shinobi features a 5″ IPS LCD screen that is illuminated by a bright 1000 cd/m² LED backlight, making it possible to view in daylight without requiring a hood. Plus, the screen is also color calibrated from the factory to ensure accurate image representation.

HDR Signal Management

Log and HDR signals can be difficult to monitor with conventional equipment. Though, with the Shinobi’s built-in HDR signal management functions, the log signal can be converted to the PQ standard for compatibility with existing consumer and professional HDR equipment.

Anamorphic De-Squeeze

The Shinobi supports Anamorphic de-squeeze, allowing you to comfortably view anamorphic footage with a squeeze of 2x, 1.5x, 1.33, and Panasonic’s 8:3.
