The Portkeys LS7P features a 7-inch touchscreen panel with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. With a maximum brightness of 1,000nits and a contrast ratio of 1000:1, this daylight-viewable monitor is usable in all shooting conditions, whether outdoors under bright sunlight or indoors in a murky studio. Trusting your on-camera monitor’s colors and image is essential for making creative decisions on set, which is why the LS7P features a 10-bit (8+2 FRC) panel, and every monitor is factory color-calibrated.

With a weigh of only 409 grams (14.42 ounces) and measuring 176.2 x 103.8 x 39.3 mm (6.93 x 4.08 x 1.54 inches), this monitor is a compact and comfortable choice for camera operators and focus pullers.

The LS7P features one 4K DCI 30P/1080P60 HDMI input port and one 1080P60 HDMI output port, conveniently located on the bottom left side of the monitor. On the right-hand side of the monitor, you will find 3G-SDI 1080P60 video input and output ports. Additionally, cross-conversion from SDI input to HDMI output is possible, and the monitor supports 3D LUTs for both HDMI and SDI outputs.

At the top of the monitor, you will find four user-assignable buttons that allow you to activate or deactivate your favorite monitor tools quickly. Additionally, there is an on/off switch, a touchscreen lock switch, and a 1/4″-20 mounting point with locating pins. The LS7P also includes two more 1/4″-20 mounting points located on the bottom and right sides, providing filmmakers with multiple options for mounting the monitor.

Powered by MOVNORM OS, the Portkeys LS7P includes a full suite of professional monitoring tools which are highly customizable and easy to use, including:

• 3D LUT monitoring with 3D LUT output capabilities. Up to 20 custom LUTs can be loaded via the USB-A port at the bottom of the monitor.
• Anamorphic image de-squeeze with 10 standard image ratios, including the popular 1.33x, 1.5x, 1.8x, and 2.0x, as well as the option to enter a custom aspect ratio from 0.25x to 4.0x.
• Freeze frame functionality, which allows you to capture a frame on a USB stick and compare it with the live image signal. This freeze frame function can be particularly helpful for stop-motion shoots, for example.
• Stretch leg tool: when shooting vertically, you can stretch the bottom part of the image. The stretch leg tool feature can be sent to the HDMI output.
• Focus tools, including peaking, custom peaking frame, and zoom functions, ensure all your shots are as crisp as possible.
• Image analysis and exposure tools, including RGB and Luma Waveform, Vectorscope, Luma Histogram, Zebra, and customizable False Color with 13 different colors, including ARRI False Color.

The Portkeys MT22DS is a set-ready 21.5-inch production monitor which is daylight-viewable, color-accurate, durable, and that has all the input and output ports you can think of, making it the perfect versatile tool for camera assistants, DITs, DPs, or as the centerpiece of the Video Village.

The lightweight and durable housing of the MT22DS is entirely made of rugged aluminum with six 1/4 “-20 mounting points on the left and right sides of the monitor. This production monitor weighs 5.8kg/12.7 lbs, and the built-in carrying handle at the back makes it easy to transport and move the monitor on set. Also, the Portkeys MT22DS comes with a removable table stand so that you can put it on a table quickly. Lastly, the VESA-standard mounting points make placing the monitor on a light stand easy (an optional VESA to light stand adapter can be purchased separately).

With a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits, the Portkeys MT22DS is a daylight-usable production monitor that does not fear outdoor shooting in bright sunlight. Designed to be used everywhere and on all kinds of productions, the Portkeys MT22DS has a wide range of powering options. First, if you have access to mains power, there is a 4-pin XLR 12-24V power input. On location, the two V-Mount battery plates at the back of the monitor will come in handy.

Furthermore, we included two built-in Sony NP-F battery plates at the back of the monitor with pass-through power to power wireless video receivers; that way, you’ll have fewer cables on your production monitor, and you don’t need to worry about the battery life remaining on your wireless video transmitters.

When it comes to video input and outputs, the MT22DS has everything you can hope for from a professional production monitor, including two 3G-SDI inputs, one GPI input, one HDMI input, one HDMI output, and one 3G-SDI output. If you need more, you’ll benefit from cross-conversion from every direction, from HDMI in to SDI out, and from SDI in to HDMI out. The 3G-SDI and HDMI outputs can output a clean video feed, but you can also output a 3D LUT and peaking if needed.

Thanks to the multiple video inputs, you can view two video signals simultaneously, which is exceptionally handy in multi-camera shooting environments. The Portkeys MT22DS supports multiple viewing modes, including dual horizontal, dual vertical, left horizontal – right vertical, and left vertical – right horizontal. Also, a left horizontal and right vertical cropping of the same source makes your life easier when you need to view your video signal simultaneously in 16:9 and 9:16 aspect ratios for social media. Also, both screens can load the same 3D LUT.

On the audio side, with the two built-in full-size 3-pin XLR connectors with 48V phantom power, you can embed audio signals to the SDI output, which can be helpful in live streaming shooting conditions, for example.

At the front of the Portkeys MT22DS are multiple physical buttons to quickly navigate inside the menus and activate your favorite monitoring tools via the four user-assignable function buttons.

The MT22DS has all the monitoring features you can expect from a professional production monitor, including:

• A high-precision Waveform that can be displayed full-screen. Waveform SDI output is also possible. Histogram and Zebra tools are also available.
• 3D LUT monitoring and 3D LUT HDMI/SDI output. You can load custom LUTs via the USB port at the bottom of the monitor and the included USB key. Furthermore, monitoring tools can be set before or after the 3D LUT.

Then, you can set the transparency/opacity of the Image Overlay. This feature is helpful for shot matching (continuity) or a quick overview of the day’s shots.

The Portkeys LH7H has a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits, which makes it easy to see your image in daylight shooting conditions. The 10-bit (8+2 FRC) panel makes color reproduction more accurate with a rich level of color details and no color banding. The 7-inch display has a FullHD 1920 x 1080 resolution, a large viewing angle, and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. At the bottom of the monitor, you’ll find one 4K HDMI input and one FullHD HDMI output. The 4K HDMI input can take signals up to 4K DCI at 24p, 4K UHD at 30p, or FullHD 1080p at up to 60p. Lastly, the HDMI input of the LH7H supports 4K oversampling to 1080p, resulting in high-resolution, high-detail 1080p video.

A built-in Sony NP-F-style battery plate at the back of the LH7H allows you to power the monitor for hours thanks to an extremely low power draw of only 8W. If you power your camera rig via a V-Lock or Gold Mount external battery, there is a 5.5mm barrel connector 7-24V power input at the bottom of the monitor, allowing you to power it infinitely. Lastly, the three-in-one USB-A port will enable you to load custom 3D LUTs, upgrade the monitor’s firmware, and act as a power input/output port (max. 5V 2A).
